    Je voudrais me présenter.
     Bonjour, tout le monde! Je m'appelles Radric LeRat, et j'habite aux États-Unis. C'était un longtemp (plus que sept ans) quand j'écrit ou parles en français. J'ai oublié beaucoup de la vocabulaire et de la grammaire, mais j'écrirai cet comment avec ce qui je peux me souvenir. (Donc, pardonez-moi s'il vous plait si je fais des faux-pas. Je suis sûr que je ferai plus que je voudrais faire.) J'ai découvri cet journal quand j'ai vu un comment qui [info]geddcoon a écrit au journal de [info]artdecade, qui est un ami de LJ. (Le Journal Vivant?)

    Qu'est ce qui se passe, tout le monde?

    Western European accent marks
     Y'all probably know this already, but I just figured it out... For Windows users, you can easily input French (and some other European) accent marks in your text with the "United States-International" keyboard mapping.

    Welcome, and an introduction
     Hi there. Nice to see some people join the group! Here's a little something to get the ball rolling.

    So as far as French goes, I'm rusty but there's still some left in my brain. I took five years of Jr.High & High School French, all those eons ago. I think French has a pleasant sound to it, and I generally like the language (other than noun genders, which is a useless layer of complexity). I've been to France once (more than a decade ago) and would like to go again someday.

    Feel free to post an intro about yourself, and your background or interests in the subject! Write about stuff in French (anything!), ask questions about stuff, post some movie or book recommendations, recipes... Anything. :)
